Who are we looking for?
The Institute for Inclusive Innovation (I-3) extends an invitation to sophomores and juniors from diverse, intellectual backgrounds to participate in its transformative program. This comprehensive program is particularly well-suited for students who may not yet be fully engaged in campus activities but are eager to explore new avenues for personal and professional growth. If students are looking to become a more inclusive leader, cultivate innovative thinking, and enhance their professional preparation, I-3 offers a supportive and enriching environment where participants can thrive.
Requirements
All of the following requirement must be met to be considered for I-3:
- Sophomore or Junior - more than 26 credit hours completed
- Good academic standing with the university
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12-credit hours at UNL
Application Process
- Before beginning an application, students are asked to review the requirements section to verify they meet all the requirements.
- The student will submit an application.
- Students who are selected as candidates will be invited for an interview.
- Finalist will receive their offer.

Who qualifies as a rising sophomore or junior?
Students who will begin the Fall 2024 semester with more than 26 hours.
Can I apply if I am a rising senior?
Students who will have senior standing (more than 88 hours) at the start of Fall 2024 may be considered if they will be enrolled in Fall 2025. Students graduating Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Summer 2025 will not be eligible for the program.
Can transfer students be considered?
Yes, transfer students who will begin Fall 2024 at sophomore or junior level are eligible for I-3.
